I decided to try the Garnier Vitamin C Face Serum. It has salicylic acid, niacinamide for brightening your skin and adding a glow, and is supposed to be good for all skin types. It it supposed to smooth skin texture and even the look of skin after 3 days and in 6 days it is supposed to made your skin feel moisturized and smoother and look more even and uniform. My skin is a combination of oily in my t-zone and sort of dry cheeks. My cheeks and nose are always red in varying intensities depending on the day. I also have occasional acne that regularly flares up when it’s that time of the month. I figured this serum could help brighten my skin, help with the redness and dullness of my skin, help my pores shrink or at least appear smaller, and help with my occasional acne. From what I have read numerous times on the internet about my type of skin, salicylic acid is supposed to be good for it. The following is my honest, unsolicited review of this product.

According to the Garnier website, Vitamin C increases collagen and slows down pigmentation so that skin looks brighter faster; salicylic acid exfoliates skin, refines pores and reduces the formation of acne; and niacinamide helps manage acne, rosacea, pigmentation issues, and wrinkles.
I started using it after washing my face on the evening of April 12 and then I have used it every day and night after washing my face and before moisturizing my face. I documented the first 5 days so we can compare and then I just took another picture which is now almost a month later.

These are straight shots in order from Day 1 to Day 5 and then the last one being May 7. After using the serum for a month, I do have to say that my skin feels great! It just feels hydrated, softer and smoother. As for the brightness of my skin, I am not sure if there was much of a change. Honestly, I don’t even know what “bright” skin looks like, so you guys are going to have to tell me if my skins looks bright, brighter, or the same. There doesn’t seem to be much change with the redness in my cheeks but that could be because it may not be rosacea in my cheeks at all. It has helped in making my skin feel cleaner which could be helping keep my acne managed, but I still get pimples. Let me know what differences you guys see over the time of the photos!
I have also included the other shots I took from the side angles so you can see those as well. I wanted to try to be a thorough as possible by taking the pictures at the same time of day, in the same spot (except for the May 7 pictures) and not changing my skin care routine during the trial.

I have to say I am quite impressed with the product. It makes my skin feel so nice and smooth. It reminds me of an Ole Henriksen cream I used to use and loved to use, but they discontinued it! I feel like it is helping my skin to feel softer, more moisturized, and healthier. The feeling has lasted a whole month and I say this because sometimes when I use a product, at first it feels great, but the benefits sometimes wane over time. The serum so far is keeping up to its claims for moisturizing capabilities for my skin and I couldn’t be happier! This is not a paid advertisement and this product was not sent to me to try. This is my honest review of it after I saw an ad for it on YouTube or some other social media site and thought I would try it. I purchased it at the Real Canadian Superstore and you can purchase it at anywhere these types of products are sold or online. I would suggest trying this product out for yourself, and if you do, let me know what you think!
